We’ve got the concept of shooting down don't forget B.E.E.F. Now don't forget one of the key things that will lead you to shooting the ball dribbling the ball. Everyone is all into watching their favorite player whether it could be Kyrie Irving or even Lebron James.
Either way whoever it is someone is trying to model their favorite player, the only thing is they don't need to do all those fancy moves to be successful with dribbling.
Always start with the basics, always have your eyes up, fingertips on the ball, and always stay on the balls of your feet so you're ready to explode to the basket at anytime. After you get the baskets down there always different dribbling moves you could do. As in from the crossover, behind the back, and the between the legs. Most people think its just naturally easy to pick a basketball up and do the moves, but are they really doing it right is the real question. Let me break it down.
The Crossover
To be successful when using the crossover you must always be on the balls of your feet and fingertips on the ball. When doing the crossover be sure to make space between you and the defender. If you were wondering how much space the best amount would be one arms length away. When doing the crossover you must have your eyes up, and in an attacking position. You bounce the ball from your left to right, or right to left. Be sure to keep the ball low to the ground so the defender doesn't have a chance of stealing the ball, and going the other way. With using these tips you will be able to perform a successful crossover.
Behind the back
I think your ready for something more challenging than the crossover. To be successful when doing the behind the back you must ALWAYS pound the ball. When doing the behind the back you must stay low and have your eyes up. Be able to pull a jump shot at anytime, and also while doing the behind the back you must always be presice and quick at all times. It's a must for all players who use the move.
Between the legs
Now you've got the crossover down, and the behind the back. Now it's time for a move most frequently used the between the legs. When performing the between the legs you must pound the ball just like the behind the back. You must keep your eyes up like all the other basics. You must be able to cross the ball from your left to right or right to left quickly, and correctly. When doing the between the legs it gets your defender off balance, and makes it possible for you to make a good shot.
