When passing coaches stress over the different ways to get the ball across, or up the court. Which involve the chest pass, bounce pass, and the over the head pass.
Chest Pass
Well when making a cross court or up the floor type pass you can use various types of passes i prefer the chest pass through. When performing the chest pass you must have a great stance to place a firm pass to your teammate. What that great “great stance” is though you wonder. To make a great stance it’s all about balance, and to have that balance it consists of one foot out, and the other foot back as if you were in a running stance. Then you push the ball using force to complete a proper chest pass.
Bounce Pass
When performing a bounce pass im sure to have a good base, and a good distance from my teammate. When performing a bounce pass you have to pass (bounce) the ball ¾ in between you, and your teammate. You make a bounce pass most of the time in basketball. The best time to use a bounce pass is when you are feeding the post to make a shot, and an even better time would be when there is an opponent on you, and looking to steal the ball. The bounce pass is one of the key passes to perform in basketball. Use it wisely though.
Over The Head Pass
When using a over the head pass is the best pass to make when trying to pass the ball long distance. When setting up your offense you use the over the head pass to perform it. When the ball is on your side, and you're looking for your teammate across the court on the other side to give it too. You give this pass by putting the ball over head feet shoulder width apart, and throw the ball hard, powerful, and be sure to be balanced.
