Basketball involves everything including passing, dribbling, and shooting. Something I want to elaborate on though is the shooting. Without the proper form you shot is not likely to go through the net, or make the perfect swish you want to make. With a perfect form your shot is 75% or greater to go in. You may be wondering how to get that perfect for though, and I'm here to tell you how.
To get the perfect for you need to know the basics. You're probably familiar with the word B.E.E.F a known word that ALL the basketball players hear about. B.E.E.F stands for balance, eyes, elbow, and follow through.
BALANCE: When shooting a basketball you need to have wide and firm base so you have a good balance. When you get the ball have your knees bent and ready to launch the shot.
EYES: You need to use your eyes to find your target. To find what you're aiming for, you’re probably saying oh that's the basket, but there is a specific part of the basket where you need to be shooting for. When shooting you need to make sure your eyes are focused on the front of the rim. There is such things as good misses, don't think just because you misse means your form was off.
Elbow: Another method you must know is the elbow, make sure your elbow is up when you are shooting a basketball and pointed at the rim in the center of your body
Follow Through: The main method a method every single coach stresses about is the follow through, when you release the ball your hand should be arched looking at the basket. With learning these key points you will become a better, and well structured shooter.
